Inspired by her own observations,  interviews, journalistic research and the latest news, Mirjam shows her obstinate view on our society and surroundings.

Therewith she shows a totally different view on our reality then the mass media is showing us. That's why her pictures seem surreal in the first place, but in the meantime it is real. However she sometimes directs as well and presents it as a mis-en-scène.

In both ways ​Mirjam shows us portraits of an era which makes us aware of the time we live in and makes us think about what this might mean for the future.
